Chain Skipping Under Load
Chain Skipping Under Load. It will do it on any of the 3, but is easiest to induce on the smallest. I have 2300km on the current cassette.

I've taken several steps to correct it including: It's as if the chain is trying to rip itself off. It only does it under load (pulling away from junctions can be really hairy).
Especially Mountain Biking Chains Because You Might Be Forced To Jump Onto A Bigger Chainring Under A Full Load Of Your Body.
It’s more common on mountain bikes, often locking up the gear. It is not related to shifting. At first, i didn't see any major issue but on my last ride (20 miles on a paved bike path) i started getting rapid chain skipping under load in the 1st and 2nd highest (smallest) gears.
Mine Is Doing The Same Thing.
My chain keeps skipping under load (doesn't seem to be shifting to a different gear, just jumping when i don't maintain consistent pressure while under load). It’s characterized by a noisy clatter on road bikes, when the chain rides up and then disengages with a noisy clatter. Let me save you some time and money.
The Clicking Sound Is Most Likely Caused By The Chain Rubbing Against The Cage Derailleur.
It's now done about 300 miles or so but it's been suffering from chain slip/skip since day one. Calibrated front and back gear shifters; It was a new bike.
I Have 2300Km On The Current Cassette.
I bought the bike new about 7 weeks ago but it has seen a lot of riding in that time. New chains skip better than worn chains because they do not mesh with worn driven sprockets while at the same time they work on worn cws. The good news is that this is probably the simplest to diagnose and fix of all potential issues.
The Chain Skip Can Occur Because Of The Stretched Chain.
It seems so obvious now. That the skipping will occur only under load. This is so common that even many brand new bikes can exhibit these symptoms.
